The Land

Health
Inoculation against yellow fever and cholera are advisable but not mandatory. It is imperative that anti malarial prophylactics be taken before, during and after your visit. Bottled water available through out the country is recommended.
Climate
Most of Uganda has a tropical climate that varies according to altitude. The hottest months are from December to February when the temperature reach 29 degrees Celsius.
Dress
Dress is generally informal. Swim wear and very skimpy clothing should be confined to beaches and resorts. For safaris, "natural" colours should be worn in preference to bright colours.
Conservation & Park Fees
All visitors have to produce valid identification documents in order to determine their resident status and applicable fee.
Insurance
Uganda is served by a number of insurance companies covering a wide range of insurance policies.
Communication
Cell Phones: Airtel Uganda, MTN Uganda, Orange, Uganda Telecom (Mango) and Warid Telecom operate cellular Networks on the 0752, 0753, 0756; 0772, 0782, 0776; 079; 0712 and 0702 prefixes respectively.
