Minibuses, Land Cruisers, Coaster Buses, open roof / pop up vehicles especially 4 x 4 WD vehicles are used in Uganda. The specific vehicle used on a particular tour/ safari depends on the game park to be visited. Take for instance visits to Bwindi Forest, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Kibale Forest, Mount Elgon and Rwenzori do not necessarily require vehicles with pop up roofs/ open roof as opposed to those visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National where the open roof are required.
